Updates on Events and Happenings

This blustery winter day has allowed me some time to give you updates on events and happenings here at Becoming Balanced!

What we have done:

What is currently happening:
  • Moms Supporting Moms.  This is a peer-led support group for mothers and we are honored to be able to provide a location for these meetings.  They meet the first Tuesday of the month at 7 pm and the third Wednesday at 9:30 am.  For more information, check them out on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/momssupportingmomsfmarea
  • Be Authentic Yoga.  Aubrey Tyson is a certified yoga instructor who will be providing one-on-one yoga sessions at Becoming Balanced beginning March 1, 2020.  Aubrey focuses on meeting people where they are at.  She works with you to develop personalized yoga sequences based on your current ability level.  Appointments can be made by calling our office at 551-1840.  You can also find more information here:
  • Depression and Anxiety group.  Trishia Powell, LCSW is offering a group specifically for women struggling with depression, anxiety, and stress management.  This is a weekly group on Thursday evenings from 5:30-7 pm beginning March 5, 2020.  If you are interested in joining this group, please call the office at 551-1840 to get more information.  Spaces are limited!  This group is billed to your insurance company and focuses on coping skills to manage life stresses as well as depression and anxiety symptoms.
  • Embraces, LLC offers individual and group akashic energy healing and individual akashic records readings.  Hours by appointment only.  Please contact the office at 551-1840 to schedule.  More information available at the website: https://embraces.com/
Things to come:
  • We will be participating in It’s A Girl Thing at the Holiday Inn on March 29 in an effort to spread the word about the importance of taking care of our mental health.  More information can be found here: https://www.itsagirlthingfargo.com/
  • I will be attending a 2-day workshop on Mindful Self-Compassion at Kansas University April 24-25 with the hope to begin a group focused on Mindful Self-Compassion upon my return.
We would love to hear from you if you have any ideas or suggestions about what you would like to see happen at Becoming Balanced!  Feel free to drop a comment below or send us a private message.
